８０年代，世紀黑死病AIDS的出現，震驚了全世界，及至１９９９年的年終，全球醫學界依然沒有研究出治癒這種疾病的方法。感染到AIDS的病患，等於被宣判了死刑。 感染AIDS的高危險群，初期的調查報告為同性戀者與吸毒者。很不幸的，在愛滋病例被發現後，西洋流行歌壇即有一些著名藝人因此病而過世，例如皇后合唱團（ Queen ）的主唱 Freddy Mercury。 從事演藝工作者的確有些人在功成名就之後，私生活較為糜爛，但往者已矣，事後再以道德批判的眼光來看待往生者，根本無濟於事。１９８７年，黑人女歌星狄翁渥薇克（惠妮休斯頓的姑姑）決定為死去的歌壇友人做些事情，她和史提夫汪德、艾爾頓強和葛萊迪絲奈特（ Gladys Knight）等幾位大牌歌星聯合義唱了一首單曲" That's what friends are for"，以悼念死去的歌壇戰友，期盼喚醒人們對防治愛滋病的重視，單曲的銷售所得並悉數做為愛滋病防治基金。這首歌推出之後，很快進入排行榜，並坐了好幾週的冠軍寶座。

如何找英語歌曲當教材(不知道會不會有點笨?)

最近為了嘗試找現在當紅的英語歌當教材,試了在奇摩知識問問題, 也試著自己找,

 所以聽ＩＣＲＴ時,遇到覺得適合的,會馬上上網找歌詞看看,有時馬上聽到歌,要找都來不及, 歌就唱完了, 再加上現在對歌手不是那麼熟悉,也常常找不到正確的那首（因歌名一樣的很多）　

突然發現ＩＣＲＴ網站會將現在播放及即將播放的歌曲曲目放在網上（要仔細看上面,寫的小小的, 再日期下面）,就解決了我的問題了,可以先找歌詞在聽一聽,可能可以找到一些歌(目前沒多少首, 可憐啊！）

適合教學的英語歌曲(艾希莉辛普森--PIECES ON ME)

中學時因為很迷英文歌,所以英語流行歌曲對我的英語學習影響不小, 現在教高年級居多,也希望能讓她們唱唱歌, 所以會補充英語歌曲,雖然很多老歌都很經典,但如果是最新的流行歌曲應該較能引起學生共鳴, 所以昨天在奇摩知識問了 "有沒有適合給英語初學者學的英語流行歌曲(句子簡單/速度適中)?" 目前只有一位網友提供以下這首,有機會會試試! 有聽過的人覺得如何? 不知道六年級會反應如何?看句子還不錯的樣子,  mp3要再找找了!
